We recently needed an adapter to allow a bicycle rack to fit into a new trailer hitch receiver. After looking online, we found that it could be ordered from the mammoth online fulfillment warehouse, with delivery in about two days.

We also found that we could possibly get it at one of the big box hardware stores in the area.

Instead, we opted to go to Hitch Central on State Road 44 in Crystal River. It is a locally owned and operated store, staffed by my neighbors here in Citrus County. The lady behind the counter was very professional and helpful, walking me to the counter where more than one option was available. She was informative and made sure that the unit I picked would work for our needs.

We made the purchase at Hitch Central and are very pleased with the product. We were even more pleased with the professional and friendly service. The best thing about the purchase is that the proceeds of the sale will stay local. Those few dollars will circulate around our community and help our local economy.
